God in His own wisdom gave man authority over the earth to manage it. Thus responsibility & accountability over Gods creation rest with man. This means without man God wouldnt . Such trust from God on us is a high calling & onus on us to reciprocate by taking care of our environment. Climatic change is real and a topic which no one should wish away. With world population growing by the day, the rate of space occupancy increases hence clearance of vegetation. Scarcity of trees has became a norm and the affect is dire. We must therefore stand in and be part of the remedial measure. Tree planting must therefore be enhanced by all of us for continuity. Its as a result of this fact having seen how careless humanity has become of the environment that gave birth to a desire to provide a solution Sares through its well captured vision answer this question. Every living thing need fresh air, water and secure environment, every government has laws stating everyone has right to good health, water, food and clean and healthy environment. As a talented environmental volunteer I started conserving our environment as a young boy 0f 8 years, growing trees was my hobby within my home compound. Forest play big part for lives of all creatures, its the source of fresh water, its habitat (ecology) of most of wildlife, they provide sustainable needs, they provide food, industrial raw materials and genetic storehouse e.g. medicinal plants. Human activities lead to pollution of our surrounding like deforestation, industrial emissions and effluent, mining, polythene production and careless disposal e.t.c. Its my duty under SARES to promote 3Rs Reduce pollution, Re-use and Recycle . I have been and will continue reducing air pollution by increasing forest cover which fix carbon in the atmosphere, growing trees in the sustainable manner. 80% of our country is semi arid, that is there is a challenge of lack of adequate water for domestic use and for growing trees and pest attack on trees is high in semi arid. Lasting solution for sustainable tree growing is to train the youth and involve them on recycling water from bathrooms with soap using wood ash available in every school or homestead, train them seed collecting locally breaking dormancy and sowing, raising young seedling, them we send them to plant apply bio pesticides and maintain them to maturity. Trees promoted by SARES have addition value like commercial, ornamental and medicinal.

The most fundamental phenomenon triggered by global warming other than warming per se is the destabilization of the worlds climate. This is caused by the amount of greenhouse gas in the atmosphere constantly changing as we continue to pour vast amounts of CO2, methane e.t.c. into the atmosphere. This destabilization is making weather less predictable and extreme weather eventsfrom hurricanes to multi decade droughts. One of the most striking and seemingly paradoxical examples of this is the (polar vortex) super cold winter snowstorms in the American northeast and center, caused by the polar air escape southward now and then. Another dangerous phenomenon is river destruction where one country hogs all the resources of a river that flows through two or more countries. America did this to Mexico over a century ago with the Colorado River, destroying the once fertile Mexican Farmlands of the Colorado Delta flowing into the Sea of Cortez and also harmed the Seas ecology. Right now China is busy damming the Mekong River which is the Lifeblood of Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos. This isnt the direct result of global warming but global warming is exacerbating it by putting higher demands on getting hydro power from rivers and using river water for irrigation to make up for less rainfall.

The rate at which environment is being degraded, we must join hands to conserve it. Its as a result of this concern SARES was birth.
