SARES customers comprise mainly of the people in the semi arid regions of Kenya. Mainly they include individual farmers who are practicing agro forestry in their farms. Others include farmer groups that practice agro forestry, schools and companies who buy anti termites, water retainers and tree seeds. County councils are major players in giving of tenders for tree planting and maintenance.

Self help groups and C.B.Os are major recipients of our trainings and products. We have in the past partnered with Katoloni mission C.B.O in a 23 million project in conservation of Kiima kimwe hills.

Communication with our customers is mainly through the media and use of mobilisers.

In terms of competitiveness, SARES is well placed being the only established private, environmental organization around Machakos County.

Its objectives are also unique having majored in promotion of organic farming with an integration of community empowerment and business entrepreneurship. It therefore does not depend entirely on external funding.

Its market share is also big considering the extend of the semi arid region and the current awakening of the world on climate change and forestry matters.
